How to Clear Your Web Browser Cache

Here are two different ways to clear your web browser cache using Safari and Google Chrome.

Safari:

  1. Click on the Safari drop-down menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Advanced tab. 
  3. Select the Show Develop menu in the menu bar checkbox and close the Preferences window.
  4. Select the Remove stored cookies and data: Click Manage Website Data, select one or more websites, then click Remove or Remove All.

Safari iPhone:

In Chrome:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More.
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

In the Chrome App:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app.
  2. At the bottom, tap More.
  3. Tap History.
  4. Clear browsing data.
  5. Make sure there’s a checkmark next to "Cookies, Site Data" and "Cached Images and Files."
  6. Tap Clear browsing data.
